One World Religion?

January 6, 2014

Welcome to 2014

I’m sure the early 16th Century believers thought we must be near the end!
I’m sure the year 250 looked just as distressing!
and Jesus proclaimed, “what a perverse generation” 2000 years ago.
Not much has changed,as we regress, Christianity will be labeled a cult and outlawed completely. We will be shot on sight for sharing the Gospel. (In America….already happening in some places)

I’ve read the different articles on “Chrislam”, well, what a brilliant scheme!
If I wanted to deceive the World, this is exactly how I’d do it. Combining all religions and removing Christ as Saviour and God.
This makes sense to all non-believers; Politicians, Military, Rights groups, etc.

The challenge is two fold:
1. Bring the lost to Christ; as many as possible
2. Get the new convert to learn and mature…..an ignorant Christian will be in as much danger as a non-believer if Chrislam becomes popular.

To win and disciple the lost is the goal of SOS Events Ministry.

2 Timothy 2:15
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

If you are unfamiliar with the term Chrislam, search it out for yourself.

Are You Making a Difference?

January 4, 2014

There is a story about a little boy walking along the seashore that was filled with star fish that had been washed up on the sand. The little boy walked along picking up every star fish that he could and tossed them back into the sea.
A man came along and said, “Why bother with those, there are too many, and they will just die.”
The boy answered as he picked up another one, “it makes a difference to this one.”
There are over 7 billion people in the world, and as an individual we can not win them all to Christ, but we can witness and make a difference in a persons life, one at a time.
Will you make a difference to someone today?
Jude 1:22
And of some have compassion, making a difference:

God Does Answer

January 2, 2014

When God gives us a no for an answer, keep in mind that there is a much greater yes behind it.
It is not a rejection but a redirection.
Jeremiah 33:3
Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.

All Things Become New

December 31, 2013

Today is New Years Eve. A lot of people will be out celebrating and partying, not thinking or caring about The Lord. Many make resolutions that will be broken in a week or two, but true followers of Christ look forward to serving Him and being obedient in the coming year.
Let us use this time to recommit our time and talent to Serving Our Savior.
God gave us a new beginning when He sent His Son, Jesus to die on the cross. When we accepted Him old things passed away and all things became new in our lives.
2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Witnessing in the New Year

December 30, 2013

The soul winners at SOS Events, witnessing in events for many years, believe that in half of churches in America 50% of church members will never see heaven.
Isn’t it a shame that the churches of today send missionaries all over the world but do not send people out right here in America to tell others about Jesus Christ. The problem is that most Christians believe that it is someone else who must share the gospel. Not everyone that hears will be saved but they need to have the choice. The Bible says everyone must HEAR the gospel and then the Holy Spirit will bring them into the kingdom of God. It is every Christian’s responsibility to be a witness.
This new year, why don’t we ask God to bring to us the opportunity to witness and to see people be saved.
Acts 1:8
But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you:and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

A New Year Coming

December 29, 2013

2013 is almost over. Just a few more days to reflect on this past year. Every year has both joy and sorrow. Maybe this year there was a new birth in your family, or you had a promotion on your job or moved into a new house. Think of the joy that you had this past year.
Then there may have been sorrow, a death in the family that has left a huge hole in your heart, or maybe you lost your job or your house is foreclosed.
Contrasts in life is a normal thing for man. The good news is that there is a new year coming that is like a blank canvas. God will bring some blessings and He may allow some sorrow, but it is always exciting to look forward to the new year and know that God will direct our path if we trust Him.
Proverbs 3:6
In all thy ways acknowledge him,
and he shall direct thy paths.

The Best Gift

December 27, 2013

Did you receive a gift for Christmas that you really liked?
Do you remember a gift you got last year? Most of us do not remember past gifts unless it was something really special that has sentimental meaning.
There is one gift, that if you have received it, you will not forget and it is something that will last for eternity.
The Lord Jesus. Today reflect on the verse, John 1:12.

John 1:12
12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

No Room

December 22, 2013

No room in the inn. The town was crowded because of the many people coming to pay their taxes and there was no room for this young woman who was great with child. Did you ever wonder what the innkeeper thought after the birth of Jesus? He is never mentioned in scripture but surely there must have been a lot of talk about a baby born in the stable.
No room. Today, there are people who say the same thing, no room in their hearts for Jesus.
Christmas is a few days away and let us make sure that Jesus is the main focus in our heart and in our home.
Luke 2:7
And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.

The Miracle Baby, John

December 21, 2013

God’s miracle preformed in Zachariahs and Elizabeth’s baby, John. A child conceived in old age but chosen to go before The Lord to prepare his way. We see John in later scripture doing that as he preached and Jesus came to him to be baptized.
Can God preform miracles today? He is the same yesterday, today and forever.
Luke 1:76
And thou, child, shalt be called the prophet of the Highest:
for thou shalt go before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways;

Elizabeth, a mother in old age

December 19, 2013

Elizabeth was well beyond child bearing age but God gave her a child in answer to many years of sadness and grief because she was barren. He used miracle baby to be the forerunner of Jesus.
Luke 1:37
For with God nothing shall be impossible.
