An email came into the SOS Events office about a boy who was at one of our recent events. His Mother stated how happy she is that her son is getting the Bible lessons. Her two daughters were not at the event but could they receive the Bible lessons?
They were put on the list and now the whole family has an opportunity to be saved.
Follow up is important. All converts are sent an age appropriate Bible lesson and their names go to a local Bible believing church, if one is in their area.
Every person that makes a decision is on a prayer list and they are prayed for regularly.
If you, a family member or a friend needs prayer, email Tom: tom@sosevents.org.

Exciting Email
August 16, 2014Fear of Storm
August 15, 2014
Baby, our little chihuahua, is terrified of thunder. Last night there was a thunder storm that was extremely loud. Baby sleeps in a crate by our bed and usually loves her bed and has no problem sleeping. But when the thunder got loud she started to whimper in fear. Finally, I got up and put her in our bed. Immediately, she curled up and was sound asleep, knowing she was protected by her master.
We have a Protecter, The Lord Jesus, who is waiting to calm our fears in the storms of our life. When fear overtakes us we can trust Him to bring us through the storm in peace and safety.
Hebrews 13:6
So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.
Leonard Ravenhill on Prayer
August 14, 2014“Prayer is the most unexplored area of the Christian life. A man who is intimate with God will never be intimidated by men.”
Leonard Ravenhill
Tom Curtis, founder of SOS Events, is a man who prays. He would like to pray for you. tom@sosevents.org is his email address if you have a prayer request.
James 5:16
Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
Transformation
August 13, 2014Adrian Rogers Quote: “The same Jesus Who turned water into wine can transform your home, your life, your family, and your future. He is still in the miracle-working business, and His business is the business of transformation.”

Romans 12:2
And be not conformed to this world:but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Robin Williams
August 12, 2014Robin Williams seemed to have it all: fame, wealth, an Oscar, an adoring and passionate fan following — but he was an unhappy troubled man. What a sad ending. If he only could have given all his care to The Lord.
His life along with many other rich and famous show that life is empty without having a close relationship with The Lord.
Pray for his family because the pain of loosing a loved one is beyond what anyone can imagine, and to have so much media has to be extremely difficult.
1 Peter 5:7
Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
This Is The Day
August 10, 2014“This is the day, this is the day.
That the Lord has made, that the Lord has made.
We will rejoice, we will rejoice,
And be glad in it, and be glad in it.
This is the day that the Lord has made.
We will rejoice and be glad in it.
This is the day, this is the day
That the Lord has made.”
When you get down and feeling low, remember this little song. Then decide to rejoice in this day. Rejoicing can be a decision. I WILL rejoice.
Philippians 4:4
Rejoice in the Lord alway:and again I say, Rejoice.
Unexpected Offering
August 9, 2014SOS Events received an offering this week through PayPal from a person who must be following the blog. Thank you for your generosity. SOS is dedicated to win souls to Christ and everything takes funds. Supplies like tracts, displays, booth rent and travel expense. We appreciate the faithful supporters and the one time givers are a great blessing.
God loves a cheerful giver and He will reward those who give.
This week 6 people were saved at just one of the Farmers Markets where SOS has a booth every week.
If you would like to share in the blessing click Donate on the right. That will take you to the Donate page.
2 Corinthians 9:7-8
Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity:for God loveth a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:
Pray for Peace
August 8, 2014World conditions are heating up, especially in the Middle East. Christians persecuted, wars and trouble in the USA. Usually, we would not put world problems on the blog but this is a call to PRAYER.
Whatever your political views, as Christians we need to pray for our country, the President and the leaders of other nations and our brothers and sisters in Christ who are caught in the middle of the conflicts.
Join with us in prayer that The Lord’s will be done. True peace only comes through Jesus Christ.
1 Timothy 2:1-2
I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
Beyond the USA
June 19, 2014
SOS does have influence in countries outside the USA. Pictured here is one of the team from Germany who came to Florida, was trained with SOS staff and went to the Farmers market in Plant City, Fl.
Five people made decisions for Christ.
SOS also has missionaries from England, Philippines and Yugoslavia using the “3 Things God Can Not Do” displays to interest people in the gospel.
Several invitations have come from various countries but at this time there is none of our staff able to go, however, God does send them to us.
We pray as Jabez prayed, increase our coast.
1 Chronicles 4:10 And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.
