If you have trusted Jesus as your Savior your sins are forgiven. What a wonderful Bible promise.

May 20, 2017Graduation
May 19, 2017May through June is the time of year for graduations. Small children graduate from kindergarten, looking forward to growing up and learning new things. High school students graduate looking forward to college or career. College graduates look forward to adult life and future success. It is a time for celebration. We as Christians, no matter what our age look forward to even a greater graduation. The time when we go to Heaven. If it be through death or Jesus comes and we are caught up in the rapture. We can all look forward to our “graduation day”.
1 Thessalonians 4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
Our Pilot
May 18, 2017Some people have fears. Snakes, the dark, bridges and many more. Flying can be very frightening to some people. Recently while on a flight the plane went through severe tubulence. Lightning, rain, bumpy air pockets. The plane actually dropped several feet which had many passengers crying and a few actually screamed. Then the pilot took the plane above the clouds where the sun was shinning and looking out the window the clouds looked white, fluffy and beautiful. The plane landed safety. It reminds me of our Pilot in life, the Lord Jesus Christ. He takes us through the storms of life and brings us the beautiful blessings in spite of the storm. We have nothing to fear if we put our trust in Him.
Psalms 37:5 Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
Please Pray
May 17, 2017Today is Plant City Flea Market. Please pray for SOS Events volunteers as they are witnessing to the people who walk by the booth. The weather is expected to reach 90 degrees by noon. That does not stop our faithful workers. Pray for souls today.
Luke 14:23 And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.
Honor Mothers
May 13, 2017For our friends in other Countries. Tomorrow we celebrate Mother’s Day in the USA. It is a time that we honor our Mothers who have done so much for us, but even if your country does not have an official day to honor your mother it is a biblical principle. Honor your Mother and you will honor God.
Exodus 20:12 Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.
Retirement
May 9, 2017Carolyn Curtis is blessed to celebrate her daughter, Judy’s retirement. They are spending a few days at Panama City Beach in Florida enjoying the beautiful weather, good food and fellowship. Even Jesus got away to rest for awhile, but there is nowhere in the Bible that talks about retirement from God’s work. In fact, Christians who are blessed with good health and do not have to go to a secular job should spend more tim working for the Lord. If you are blessed to be in that position and are looking for a way to Serve Our Savior contact SOS Events ministry and we will help you to get started on the best “job” you will ever have and the pay is great….treasure in Heaven. (All our workers are volunteers)
John 9:4 I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.
God’s Family
May 3, 2017A young man who just trusted Jesus as his Savior in the SOS Events booth told the soul winner that he had no family. What a blessing to be able to tell him, “You have a family now, when you asked Jesus to be your Savior you were born again into God’s family and you have brothers and sisters in Christ.” Pray for this man that he will be welcomed into a local church.
Matthew 12:50 For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.
Lost Opportunity
April 30, 2017Two of the SOS Events staff went to check out public events in their area yesterday that SOS Events may have opportunity to have a booth in the future. Both events had hundreds of people that probably the majority were not saved. You have opportunities in your area also, however, the problem is Christians who are unwilling to go soul winning at an event. Look around. Hundreds of people who do not know how to get to Heaven because we are too lazy or have “more important” things to do than be a witness for the Lord. Let the Holy Spirit search your heart.
Luke 10:2 Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.
Forgiveness
April 29, 2017After a visit to the Halocaust Meseum in St. Petersburg, Fl, I was reminded of Corrie Ten Boom a dedicated Christian, and her family who saved the lives of many Jews during World War II. She and her family were caught and Corrie and Betsie (her sister) were sent to Herzogenbusch political concentration camp, and finally to Ravensbrück, a women’s labor camp in Germany. Betsie died there and because of a clerical error Corrie was released just before the women in that prison were sent to the gas chambers. Did Corrie harbor hatred for her enemies. No! She found the answer to peace in the Bible. Love and Forgiveness. “Forgiveness is the key that unlocks the door of resentment and the handcuffs of hatred. It is a power that breaks the chains of bitterness and the shackles of selfishness.” Corrie Ten Boom
Matthew 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
Ashamed?
April 28, 2017Do we as Christians deny our Lord by keeping our mouths shut instead of witnessing like the Bible commands? We talk about everything else but when it comes to telling someone about the Lord we don’t. Why is it that a group of Christians will be happy to go for hours to fellowship but will not take 3 or 4 hours a week, a month or even a year to witness? It is time we stop being ashamed and be like Paul who wrote the book of Romans in the New Testament. Are we silent because we are ashamed?
