Do You Study God’s Word

November 2, 2013

“When you fail to study God’s Word, you stop growing. When you cease to grow spiritually, you start deteriorating immediately. When you stop climbing, you start slipping. You can never arrive spiritually in this life; there is always a higher plateau to be reached. One of those plateaus is personal evangelism. Jesus said, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. Soul winners are made, not born.”
SOS can help you to become a spiritual fisherman, because God has helped us to write “Easy Evangelism.”

Prayer Requests

October 19, 2013

SOS staff has a very busy schedule the next 2 weeks as many Fall Festivals are scheduled. Not only are the regular events still in progress but the extra events gives much opportunity for more souls to be saved. We are asking for extra prayer from our fellow Christians at this time.
Souls to be saved.
Enough workers to work at the various events.
Strength and good health for SOS workers.
Thank you for your prayers and thank The Lord for the answers.

Wrong Number?

October 17, 2013

Late one night the telephone rang. Tom missed the call so dialed the number back.
A woman answered and said, “Sorry wrong number.”
Tom quickly asked her if she knew the 3 Things God Can Not Do.
She did not, so Tom explained them to her and proceeded to go through the short presentation of the gospel.
She prayed to receive Jesus into her heart, and is now going to start Bible studies.
Wrong number? There are no wrong numbers with God.

Answer to the riddle

September 26, 2013

The answer to yesterday’s riddle:
What is bigger than God? Nothing
What is worse than the devil? Nothing
What do the dead eat? Nothing
And if we eat nothing we die.
The answer is Nothing.
Hope you enjoyed the riddle.
This is one of the ways SOS uses to get people to come and talk to us when we are at an event. People are curious and will come to ask the answer. Then we have the opportunity to share the gospel with them and many will ask Jesus into their heart.

Two Salvations

September 21, 2013

SOS Events is blessed to have many people donate items to the ministry. Every gift is appreciated. Sometimes there are things we cannot use or those things get replaced by newer items.
Then our storage shed gets cluttered and overcrowded.
Not to far from our property is a Hispanic family who sell used items. Tom stopped to see them and offered all of our accumulated items to them if they would come and get them.
A few minutes later a truck pulled into the yard and 2 men got out. They had come to get the things we were giving to them.
Along with some printers, phones, monitors and other items was a vinyl cutting machine. Carlos asked, “What does that machine do?”
On a shelf were some signs that had been made using the machine and I took one down to show him.
He was amazed. “It’s Spanish,” he said.
While he and his cousin loaded the rest of the items, I quickly went into the office to get 2 Spanish tracts to give to the men.
When they were given the tracts, both started to read them. Tom and I explained the 3 Things God Can Not Do, and both Carlos and Antonio prayed and ask Jesus into their hearts.
We then got their full names, addresses and they will be sent Bible studies in Spanish so they can grow in The Lord.
We try to witness every opportunity that God gives us and God gives the increase. It’s a joy to be a witness.

Refrigerator or Incubator?

September 18, 2013

“God never intended His church to be refrigerator, He intended it to be an incubator in which to hatch out converts.”

Every week SOS Events has faithful workers in Flea Markets around the Country. In Florida there are 3 markets every week, with 30-50 people trusting Jesus as their Savior. Randy and Joyce are team leaders and work in several events weekly.

The Greatest Evil in the World

July 31, 2013

The biggest evil in the world are Christians who refuse to witness.
Jesus came to save the lost.
Going to church on Sunday, teaching Sunday school, doing good works is not the Great Commission.
The average person has at least 40 hours a week free time. Should we not use some of that time to tell someone about Jesus?
It is so simple. Hand out a tract while standing in a checkout line. Ask a person who called with a solicitation if they are sure of Heaven.
Everyone you come in contact with is an opportunity to witness.
The world is full of people who want to hear. Christian, we must tell them before it is too late.
SOS Ministry can teach you how to be an effective witness. Join with us today by watching the training videos.
Mark 16:15
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

Texas Man Accepts The Lord

July 29, 2013

What a joy to see people come to The Lord. This weekend 18 people trusted Jesus as their Savior at the Auburndale Flea Market in Florida. A young man from Texas came into the booth with his grandfather. He wanted to be sure he was on the way to Heaven. On the back of the card he wrote, “Accepted Jesus as my personal Savior.”
SOS has every convert fill out a card with name, address, phone, age, and email so we can follow up with them. A local church gets the information so they can visit. A Bible study that is age appropriate gets sent to each one free of charge. They have opportunity to continue Bible studies as long as they want to, always at no cost to them except for the price of a stamp.
SOS is always looking for dedicated Christians who would like to be a part of this exciting ministry.
