Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood. Acts 20:28
How is the church you attend doing? Are people being saved and trained to win others to Jesus? Are you being feed or are you being entertained
The bad weather and threats of tornadoes did not stop SOS Events Ministry volunteers from sharing the Gospel using the 3 Things God Can Not Do board at the SLE Rodeo in Montgomery Friday-Sunday.
They were blessed greatly for their faithfulness to Serve Our Savior with 4 people that surrendered their lives to Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and 2 more young ladies received reassurance after hearing scripture shared and learning more about their walk with Jesus.
A huge thank you to Carl for setting up ,taking down and working all shifts this weekend. Couldn’t have done it without Patty , Patricia and Jerry for volunteering their time to work at this busy event.
We are so thankful for them and to God be the Glory for these souls saved and lives changed.
Give thanks unto the Lord, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people. I Chronicles 16:8
Event Evangelism, Inc is the legal name for SOS Events ministry and all of our witnessing takes place at events.
But the definition of an event by Tom Curtis, the cofounder of SOS Events ministry, is “An event is when you get up in the morning.”
Everyday is another opportunity to witness. Young mother at home with small children, witness to someone on the phone or a neighbor or delivery man.
Student, witness to your unsaved fellow students.
Business man or woman, you have many opportunities to witness as you work (make sure you do not do it on the boss’s time).
Elderly, even in a nursing home you have people around you to witness to for the Lord.
Today is an event. Give someone a tract, tell someone your testimony or use the simple “3 Things God Can Not Do” approach which takes less than 2 minutes. Make today your special event.
Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
We have so much to be thankful for. First is that GOD the creator of the universe blesses us with opportunity to have everlasting life through His Son, Jesus.
Then, He allows us to worship Him and serve Him. SOS Events Ministry began 24 years ago and God has blessed with wonderful staff, leaders, volunteers and prayer partners. Thousands of people have come to know Jesus as their Savior in those years.
He has blessed the ministry with good things. The office is repaired, garage is finished, the carport is also repaired. Things are ready for a great year of new territory, more people to hear the gospel, Christians who want to know how to witness effectively.
We serve a mighty, awesome God. He deserves our praise and thanks everyday.
2024 is almost over. Just a few more days to reflect on this past year. Every year has both joy and sorrow. Maybe this year there was a new birth in your family, or you had a promotion on your job or moved into a new house. Think of the joy that you had this past year.
Then there may have been sorrow, a death in the family that has left a huge hole in your heart, or maybe you lost your job or your house is foreclosed.
Contrasts in life is a normal thing for man. The good news is that there is a new year coming that is like a blank canvas. God will bring some blessings and He may allow some sorrow, but it is always exciting to look forward to the new year and know that God will direct our path if we trust Him.
Proverbs 3:6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
The secret to having your prayers answered is found in this verse from God’s Word.
To abide in Jesus daily requires dependence upon the Holy Spirit in which we do three things: Walk by faith. Spend focused time. Engage in intentional actions.
To have your prayers answered, you must abide in Jesus.
As citizens of the USA we need to cast our vote for the candidates we feel will do the best job for our Country.
As Christians we should be praying for our leaders and that God will once again bless America.
If your choice wins or loses, we should show respect to the one who wins. If we disagree with the choice the best thing we can do is pray for that person.
Remember, it is not just the president we are voting for but local government as well.
Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour. Romans 13:7
