Once again God blessed SOS Events Ministry volunteers with nine salvations at the Flea Market on Wednesday. Alice usually is not in a picture because she is usually taking pictures and winning souls, but here she is with 2 of the people who trusted Jesus.

Romans 10:10

From the Halls of Montezuma

The Marine Corps are known for their determination to fight in any circumstance and never give up. We as Christians need to continue our battle in life, that we may say we have fought a good fight and have stayed true to our faith.

37 decisions at the SOS Events booth in Marion, Indiana at the 4H Fair last week. Thank you Joyce and Scott for your hard work. Many new trainees came to observe and will be getting ready to do more events this summer in Indiana.

“We are too busy to pray, and so we are too busy to have power. We have a great deal of activity, but we accomplish little. Many services, but few conversions; much machinery, but few results.” – R.A. Torrey

Unfortunately many churches today are like the quote by R. A. Torrey, they have many services, few conversions and few results. This is a good way to evaluate a church.

Prayer meeting is the key. Is it just another service or activity or do people actually pray. Unfortunately in many churches, prayer meeting has become a midweek service. Much activity but no prayer. You can have a part in changing that and bring power back into your church. How?

Start with prayer yourself, everyday pray for your Pastor, church leaders, Sunday School teachers. Teach your children and grandchildren to pray. Get a small group or even one friend and while others go to activities you spend that time in sincere prayer. Our churches need power not programs. Action not activity. More service not services.

If you have been guilty of prayerlessness, confess that to God, ask forgiveness and start today to make prayer the most important part of your day. Let us be part of the solution to bring power into our local church.
