God answers prayer. One of the great things about God is that He cares about the little things in our lives.
Sometimes we think He only answers in a crisis or a big problem but if we are truly following His leading He loves to give us what we ask.
SOS participates in a big event every year, the Strawberry Festival in Plant City, Fl. It takes many people to witness in the booth over a 11day period. Many churches are invited to send a team to help.
Tom and I were delivering DVDs about the festival to the area churches for the congregation to watch and it was important that each DVD was given to a responsible person at every church.
The first church we went to, no one was there, so we continued on to other places.
About 2 hours later, I prayed and ask The Lord to have someone at that first church so we could finish our deliveries.
We arrived at the church and there was a car there. It was the pastor’s wife.
She said, “I am never here this time of day, but my husband ask me to meet him here today and I have no idea why.”
I told her about the prayer and we rejoiced together, knowing that God answered a specific prayer.
Matthew 21:22
And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

God Answers Prayer
January 18, 2014God Does Answer
January 2, 2014When God gives us a no for an answer, keep in mind that there is a much greater yes behind it.
It is not a rejection but a redirection.
Jeremiah 33:3
Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.
Zachariahs, Lesson in Prayer
December 20, 2013Zachariahs had prayed for many years that his wife would have a child. Now in their old age all hope was gone. Then the angel of The Lord came to him and he did not believe that it would be possible in his old age.
How many times in our lives do we pray and then when the answer comes we are surprised that our prayer was answered. A great lesson here. God’s timing is always best and we must wait on The Lord for His timing.
Luke 1:13
But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias:for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John.
Thank you for your prayers
October 26, 2013Thanks to you who are praying for events this weekend. Several were saved at Harvest Hayride in New Jersey last night. Also, Tom and Carolyn Curtis spoke in chapel yesterday morning and 7 children asked Jesus to come into their hearts so they could have 2 birthdays. (The fist birth is physical, the second spiritual)
Prayer Requests for SOS Weekend Events
October 25, 2013SOS Events have many Fall Festivals and other events in the next 2 weekends. In New Jersey, tonight and tomorrow, 3000 people are expected at Harvest Hayride. Many unsaved people attend this event. Please pray for souls to be saved.
In Florida several events are taking place, including the regular weekly flea markets. Pray for souls to be saved and strength for the SOS teams throughout the USA.
The Lord is blessing this ministry and your prayers are an important part of success at these events.
Prayer Requests
October 19, 2013SOS staff has a very busy schedule the next 2 weeks as many Fall Festivals are scheduled. Not only are the regular events still in progress but the extra events gives much opportunity for more souls to be saved. We are asking for extra prayer from our fellow Christians at this time.
Souls to be saved.
Enough workers to work at the various events.
Strength and good health for SOS workers.
Thank you for your prayers and thank The Lord for the answers.
Cast Your Cares on The Lord
October 5, 20131 Peter 5:7
Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
This verse is one that we usually memorize early in our Christian life. Easy to memorize but hard to do. We want to pick up our cares again and not leave them in the Lord’s hands. If you have a heavy heart today, cast that burden on Him. He is waiting to comfort you and supply your need.
James Dean Days
September 11, 2013God answers prayer. Every year SOS has a booth in an event called James Dean Days in a small town in Indiana. This year our group from Florida are unable to go to set up and work at the event.
It has been on our hearts to get a group from that area to have an SOS soul winning booth at this exciting event.
Yesterday, one of our faithful workers, John, was on the phone telling us that his church got excited and wants to have the booth at James Dean Days.
Praise The Lord. Please pray for the workers, and that souls will be saved.
If you are wanting a fun place to go for a weekend, Fairmount, IN, September 26-29 is the place to be. Check out their website for all the information if you are interested.
Precious promise
August 25, 20131 John 5:14-15
And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
Nothing is impossible
July 26, 2013Have you ever lost something of value and are unable to find it?
Yesterday, Tom lost his IPad. This is extremely important as he keeps all his notes, calendar and information he needs for the ministry.
However, after hours of searching all through the house, offices and yard (in the dark), we were not successful.
When we woke this morning we had our devotions, reading God’s word and praying.
We came to this verse, Luke 1:37 “For with God nothing shall be impossible.”
Then we prayed, quoted this verse to The Father, asking Him to give us the eyes and wisdom to find the IPad, and thanking Him for the answer.
Tom went outside to get the golf cart he needs to get around the property, and there was the IPad on top of a generator we have in the carport.
God is good, He answers prayer. Tom came in and we once again thanked God for hearing and answering when we call on Him.
