Luke 2:11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
Merry Christmas to all of you. May God bless you with knowledge of His will, wisdom and spiritual understanding.
Joseph must have been frantically looking for a place to stay for the night. Mary was probably already in labor. She was young, it was her first child and she was going through the same pain in childbirth that every mother has when giving birth.Bethlehem was full of travelers. It was a small village with a very limited number of inns. Maybe only one, and the was no room. The innkeeper took pity on Joseph and Mary and allowed them room in his stable.
Most people look at the innkeeper as unfeeling but if you think about it he really did an act of kindness, plus scripture was being fulfilled.
If the innkeeper had known who was to be born in his stable, maybe he would have given up his own room for JESUS.
JESUS wants the best from us. Our gift to Him this Christmas should be giving Him every room in our heart.
Luke 2:7 And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.
Bethlehem, the birthplace of Jesus was foretold by Micah 700 years before Christ’s birth. Micah named the exact town and Matthew records the event.Bethlehem is still standing today and both Biblically and historically is proven to be the actual place where Jesus was born.
Micah 5:2 But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.
Matthew 2:1 Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,
God’s miracle preformed in Zachariahs and Elizabeth’s baby, John. A child conceived in old age but chosen to go before The Lord to prepare his way. We see John in later scripture doing that as he preached and Jesus came to him to be baptized. Can God preform miracles today? He is the same yesterday, today and forever.
John the Baptist knew who Jesus was and declared it to everyone who would listen. He was a witness. Those of us who are saved also know who Jesus is and what He has done for us, we have a responsibility to tell others.
Ask The Lord to give you opportunity to tell someone about Him today.
Luke 1:76 And thou, child, shalt be called the prophet of the Highest: for thou shalt go before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways;
“An angel announced His conception and gave Him His name. The heavenly host sang a glorious anthem at His birth. By the extraordinary star, the very heavens indicated His coming. In Himself He was the most illustrious child ever born-the holy child of Mary, the Devine Son of God.” Billy Graham
Mathew 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.
Christmas lights are so beautiful. Darkness falls and even the most barren property, the scrawniest tree, the ugly streets become a sparkling sight to see. Some people spend a lot of money for the lights of Christmas. Others may only have a little string of lights or a few candles. The mall and shops are full of glowing lights. There are people who refuse to light their home or have a tree. However a person may feel about decorating for Chrismas they still enjoy the sight of what others have done.
Jesus is the light of the world. His light shines in the hearts of people who believe in Him and have trusted Him as their Savior. Others receive the benefits He brings into the world. He blesses the just and the unjust. This season when you enjoy the decorations and especially the lights think about Jesus and the light He brings to your life.
John 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
Jesus birth was prophesied in the Old Testiment many times. People were looking forward to the birth of the Messiah. One of the well know prophecies is found in Isaiah.
Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

Genesis 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
