Wisdom or Destruction?

October 10, 2013

Proverbs 9:10
10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom:
and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.
The USA is in trouble today because the leaders are looking for wisdom in the wrong places.
They have no understanding of what wisdom is, they seek answers from man instead of turning to God. We have banned God from our schools, taken the 10 Commandments off our buildings and forbidden prayer at public events. Will we wake up in time or continue down this path of destruction?

Missionary or Imposter

October 8, 2013

“Every Christian is either a missionary or an imposter.”
Charles Spurgeon
Powerful words from a great Evangelist. A little girl once asked, “What does a missionary do?”
The answer, “A missionary is someone who tells people about Jesus.”
We do not have to go to another country, or around the world. We can be a missionary in our own neighborhood. Which are you? Missionary or imposter.

Cast Your Cares on The Lord

October 5, 2013

1 Peter 5:7
Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
This verse is one that we usually memorize early in our Christian life. Easy to memorize but hard to do. We want to pick up our cares again and not leave them in the Lord’s hands. If you have a heavy heart today, cast that burden on Him. He is waiting to comfort you and supply your need.

We Need Revival

October 3, 2013

“Men build our churches, but do not enter. Print our Bibles but do not read them, talk about God but do not believe him, speak of Christ but do not trust him for salvation, Sing our hymns and then forget them. Tell me how do YOU believe were going to come out of all this?”
This quote from a great book by Napoleon Hill OUTWITTING THE DEVIL.
This book was written in 1938 but not published until 2011 because of the strong content. This was true in 1938 and now we can see what has become of all of this.
We need revival!!

Obey

October 1, 2013

“Beware of reasoning about God’s Word-obey it.”
Oswald Chambers
Do we just read God’s Word and then go on our way, doing as we please, or do we allow the Holy Spirit to convict, enlighten and bless us. The song “Trust and obey, for there’s no better way, to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey” is true.
Today, let us do our best to obey and be blessed in every way.
