Dr. Charles Stanley had some good thoughts about giving thanks and the blessings we receive. These are just a few:

Provides our needs
Bodily resurrection
Forgiveness of sins
Eternal home in Heaven
Word of God
Keeps us continually aware of who God is”
Another blessing that I thank God for is the promise of seeing our loved ones that are in Heaven already.
Colossians 2:7
Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.
