A Living Scrifice

November 8, 2013

There is an old saying, “Many hands make light work.” Yesterday, 19 ladies came to help with SOS projects. These ladies are mostly senior citizens. The oldest just turned 94 years old. God wants to use us for His glory and we never get to old to serve The Lord.
In contrast, a young girl, 15 years old, has become a wonderful worker for SOS. She helps in the office, goes to events to win souls, and on Sunday night will help train a group of other teens, so they can also be used of The Lord to bring others to Christ.
God loves people of all ages who have presented their bodies a living sacrifice for His glory.
Romans 12:1

Verse for you today

November 6, 2013

Psalms 37:4
Delight thyself also in the Lord;
and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
A great promise in God’s Word.
Look up the word delight in the dictionary. One of the definitions is, joy.

The Word of God

November 4, 2013

There is a world of difference between knowing the Word of God, and knowing the God of the Word.
We need to first know God, through His Son, Jesus Christ, then diligently study the Word of God to know Him better.

How is Your Life?

October 21, 2013

Are you living a life that makes the unsaved uncomfortable?

Wrong Number?

October 17, 2013

Late one night the telephone rang. Tom missed the call so dialed the number back.
A woman answered and said, “Sorry wrong number.”
Tom quickly asked her if she knew the 3 Things God Can Not Do.
She did not, so Tom explained them to her and proceeded to go through the short presentation of the gospel.
She prayed to receive Jesus into her heart, and is now going to start Bible studies.
Wrong number? There are no wrong numbers with God.

Freedom or Captivity

October 13, 2013

“You are not free until you have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.”
Charles Stanley
Sin keeps us in bondage. Jesus sets us free.
Whatever keeps us in bondage Jesus will set us free and all we have to do is trust Him, ask forgiveness and allow Him to direct direct our lives.

What has God done for you?

October 12, 2013

In three minutes tell someone what God has done for you this week and what you have done for Him. Then thank Him especially for sending The Lord Jesus to die on the cross so our sins can be forgiven.

Wisdom or Destruction?

October 10, 2013

Proverbs 9:10
10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom:
and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.
The USA is in trouble today because the leaders are looking for wisdom in the wrong places.
They have no understanding of what wisdom is, they seek answers from man instead of turning to God. We have banned God from our schools, taken the 10 Commandments off our buildings and forbidden prayer at public events. Will we wake up in time or continue down this path of destruction?

Missionary or Imposter

October 8, 2013

“Every Christian is either a missionary or an imposter.”
Charles Spurgeon
Powerful words from a great Evangelist. A little girl once asked, “What does a missionary do?”
The answer, “A missionary is someone who tells people about Jesus.”
We do not have to go to another country, or around the world. We can be a missionary in our own neighborhood. Which are you? Missionary or imposter.
