This is a testimony written on the back of a decision card from an SOS Event.
The person who wrote it will remain anonymous to protect her privacy, however, we wanted to share just one of thousands of testimonies with you who follow the blog.
It is a great privilege to be with a ministry that brings people to The Lord week after week. If you would like to join with us, we invite you to participate.

Jesus is our friend if we have accepted His death, burial and resurrection as full payment for all our sins.

John 1:36

Little Sins

April 8, 2014

“A little thorn may cause much suffering. A little cloud may hide the sun. Little foxes spoil the vines; and little sins do mischief to the tender heart. These little sins burrow in the soul, and make it so full of that which is hateful to Christ, that he will hold no comfortable fellowship and communion with us. A great sin cannot destroy a Christian, but a little sin can make him miserable….”
Charles Spurgeon

Romans 3:23
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Fanny Crosby

April 6, 2014

“It seemed intended by the blessed providence of God that I should be blind all my life, and I thank him for the dispensation. If perfect earthly sight were offered me tomorrow I would not accept it. I might not have sung hymns to the praise of God if I had been distracted by the beautiful and interesting things about me.” Fanny Crosby
“Redeemed” “Blessed Assurance” “Rescue the Perishing” and over 8000 other hymns, some that we have in our hymn books, were written by Fanny Crosby who was blinded at 6 weeks of age by an incompetent doctor.
Her life affected multitudes of people through her beautiful hymns and praises to God.
God took a tragedy and turned it into a testimony that still is being used in our lives today almost 200 years later.

Isaiah 42:16
And I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not;
I will lead them in paths that they have not known:
I will make darkness light before them,
and crooked things straight.
These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them.

Time is short. Pick up a newspaper or turn on T V and see the world is in chaos.
Jesus is coming soon. The time for witnessing will soon be over. Do not wait until it is too late to tell someone how to get to Heaven.

John 4:35
Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.

God Loves You

March 31, 2014

Nobody can love you like God can. Whether your weight, height, mood, age, environment change, He always sees you for who you are and He loves you.

Ephesians 2:4
But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,

Ruby

March 29, 2014

“Do you know the 3 Things God Can Not Do?”
This question brings curiosity to many people. It could be in a line at
a grocery store, post office or anywhere where people gather. SOS uses it effectively at events, along with a visual display.
On one occasion, a lady in her late 60’s stopped by the booth at an event.
She wanted to know the three things, then was asked the question, “Are you 50, 75, or 100% sure if you died today you would go to Heaven?
She was not sure, so she was escorted to a table in the back of the booth.
“What is your name?” she was asked.
“Ruby,” was her reply.
“Do you know how special you are to God?”, the soul winner told her, then quoted the Bible verse about rubies. The soul winner explained the Gospel using the ABC’s of salvation.
Ruby trusted The Lord as her Savior and now is that virtuous woman God speaks about in Proverbs.
( If you do not know the “3 things” or the ABC’s sign into the training videos on the tab on the home page)

Proverbs 31:10
Who can find a virtuous woman?
for her price is far above rubies.

Brighten the Corner Where You Are

March 28, 2014

If you have never heard the song, ” Brighten the Corner Where You Are,” try to find someone who can sing it to you. It has a catchy tune and is a happy song with a good message.
Most of the songs and hymns written years ago came from problems or tragedy. Ina Duley Ogden was invited to speak at a great Sunday School Convention, but instead was called home to take care of her father who had been injured in an accident.
In her disappointment she decided to be a blessing to just the people around her, especially her father and wrote the words to the song.
“Do not wait until some deed of greatness you may do,/ Do not wait to shed your light afar,/ To the many duties ever near you now be true,/ Brighten the corner where you are.”
Her song became so popular that it opened all of Billy Sundays revivals for over 22 years and tragedy blessed not hundreds of people but thousands.

Romans 8:28
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

God Answers Prayer

March 26, 2014

God answers prayer. SOS has been praying for more full time missionaries to come with the ministry. Last night a Pastor called and said he is coming with SOS full time.
This Pastor was at the first church we went to in Florida when the ministry was in its infancy. He has seen what God has done over the years and is ready now to join with us as we attempt to reach the USA and beyond for Christ.

Jeremiah 33:3
Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.
