We, Tom and Carolyn Curtis celebrate our anniversary today, January 5. When God brought us together He not only gave us a wonderful marriage but directed us to start SOS Events in 2001.
Since that time over 35,000 people have made decisions for Christ through SOS Events.
We are so thankful for God’s plan for us and for this ministry that has been so effective in winning souls to Jesus.
1 Thessalonians 3:11
Now God himself and our Father, and our Lord Jesus Christ, direct our way unto you.

A Happy Anniversary
January 5, 2014Do You Sit Idle?
January 3, 2014“Could a mariner sit idle, if he heard the drowning cry?
Could a doctor sit in comfort and just let his patients die?
Could a fireman sit idle, let men men burn and give no hand?
Can you sit at ease at home, with the world around you damned?”
SOS can train you to spread the Gospel and supply all you need to be an effective witness. Contact us at info@sosevents.org.

All Things Become New
December 31, 2013Today is New Years Eve. A lot of people will be out celebrating and partying, not thinking or caring about The Lord. Many make resolutions that will be broken in a week or two, but true followers of Christ look forward to serving Him and being obedient in the coming year.
Let us use this time to recommit our time and talent to Serving Our Savior.
God gave us a new beginning when He sent His Son, Jesus to die on the cross. When we accepted Him old things passed away and all things became new in our lives.
2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
Witnessing in the New Year
December 30, 2013The soul winners at SOS Events, witnessing in events for many years, believe that in half of churches in America 50% of church members will never see heaven.
Isn’t it a shame that the churches of today send missionaries all over the world but do not send people out right here in America to tell others about Jesus Christ. The problem is that most Christians believe that it is someone else who must share the gospel. Not everyone that hears will be saved but they need to have the choice. The Bible says everyone must HEAR the gospel and then the Holy Spirit will bring them into the kingdom of God. It is every Christian’s responsibility to be a witness.
This new year, why don’t we ask God to bring to us the opportunity to witness and to see people be saved.
Acts 1:8
But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you:and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
How much do we love God?
November 25, 2013How much of what we do is an expression of love for God? We should live everyday by showing our love for God by bringing HIM joy.
A Living Scrifice
November 8, 2013There is an old saying, “Many hands make light work.” Yesterday, 19 ladies came to help with SOS projects. These ladies are mostly senior citizens. The oldest just turned 94 years old. God wants to use us for His glory and we never get to old to serve The Lord.
In contrast, a young girl, 15 years old, has become a wonderful worker for SOS. She helps in the office, goes to events to win souls, and on Sunday night will help train a group of other teens, so they can also be used of The Lord to bring others to Christ.
God loves people of all ages who have presented their bodies a living sacrifice for His glory.

Prayer Requests for SOS Weekend Events
October 25, 2013SOS Events have many Fall Festivals and other events in the next 2 weekends. In New Jersey, tonight and tomorrow, 3000 people are expected at Harvest Hayride. Many unsaved people attend this event. Please pray for souls to be saved.
In Florida several events are taking place, including the regular weekly flea markets. Pray for souls to be saved and strength for the SOS teams throughout the USA.
The Lord is blessing this ministry and your prayers are an important part of success at these events.
Missionary or Imposter
October 8, 2013“Every Christian is either a missionary or an imposter.”
Charles Spurgeon
Powerful words from a great Evangelist. A little girl once asked, “What does a missionary do?”
The answer, “A missionary is someone who tells people about Jesus.”
We do not have to go to another country, or around the world. We can be a missionary in our own neighborhood. Which are you? Missionary or imposter.
Obey
October 1, 2013“Beware of reasoning about God’s Word-obey it.”
Oswald Chambers
Do we just read God’s Word and then go on our way, doing as we please, or do we allow the Holy Spirit to convict, enlighten and bless us. The song “Trust and obey, for there’s no better way, to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey” is true.
Today, let us do our best to obey and be blessed in every way.
