Stop, Look, and Listen

July 11, 2013

Genesis 1:24-25
And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind:and it was so.And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind:and God saw that it was good.
God gives so many blessings. Just to look at His creation is awesome. Early in the morning His creatures are out, and today, in the yard was a beautiful red fox, a tiny humming bird, and many more of His lovely creatures were welcoming the day.
Sometimes we get to busy in the routine of daily living that we miss what God has given us to enjoy.
Why not stop, even for a minute today and look around to see some of the beauty God has created?

Is your light shinning?

July 9, 2013

Jesus said:
John 12:46
I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.
As Christians it is our responsibility to bring the light of Christ to the lost. Is your light shinning?
Song for today, “This Little Light of Mine.”

Liberty

July 1, 2013

2 Corinthians 3:17
Now the Lord is that Spirit:and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
Celebrate our liberty in Christ.

Traveling Blessings

June 23, 2013

Sunday in Montgomery, Alabama. Lovely day to serve The Lord. He gave us, Tom and Carolyn, a beautiful restful trip after our car problems.
Now it is time to get busy and serve Him. 2 church services this morning and training for SOS this afternoon and evening. Tomorrow another training. Tom needs prayer for strength and good health.
Pray for the Christians who desire to learn to witness and win souls.
This area can use some full time workers to go to the many events in Alabama. Great opportunities.
Also, in Florida today, SOS has a team witnessing at a flea market after they go to an early church service. Pray for souls.

Happy Fathers Day

June 16, 2013

Today is special so we can honor our fathers. If you have a Godly Dad who teaches you the word of God, you are extremely blessed.
Maybe your Dad is not a Christian, pray for him. Sometimes it takes years of prayer, God is not willing that any should perish.
If your Dad is not in your life give thanks to our Heavenly Father for all His blessings.
To all who have a Dad that is now in Heaven, may God comfort you today and bring to mind all the wonderful memories that you shared.
Happy Fathers Day

Death of His Saint

June 14, 2013

Psalms 116:15
Precious in the sight of the Lord
is the death of his saints.
Today Heaven is rejoicing to welcome another of God’s saints into His presence. At 4:15 am Eugene Curtis, Tom’s brother went home to be with The Lord. Though our hearts are saddened, we at the same time rejoice to know he is out of his pain and struggles here on earth.
We will see him again!! Thank You Lord for your death on the cross and your promise of Heaven.

How to live a Godly life

June 12, 2013

You can not live a Godly life without the Word of God. Read The Word daily for a Christ centered life.
Psalms 119:11
Thy word have I hid in mine heart,
that I might not sin against thee.

When you don’t know what to do.

June 6, 2013

When you don’t know what to do, wait for instructions from The Lord.
Psalm 27:14 “Wait on The Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart.”

How Are You Walking?

June 2, 2013

2 Corinthians 5:7.(for we walk by faith, not by sight.) most people say, I’ll believe it when I see it. Faith is the opposite, you will see it when you believe it.
Our Salvation, hope of Heaven is something we cannot see, but we have it when we believe that Jesus died on the cross, paid the penalty for our sin, rose again, is now in Heaven and will return!
Have you ask Him to forgive your sins and are you walking in faith? If you are, God promises that we will see all the things He has promised if we walk in faith.

Congratulations Graduates!!

May 31, 2013

Congratulations to all graduates!! High School, College and Others who have reached a goal with hard work and perseverance. This year our family has 2 high school graduates, Michael Slater and Samuel Williams, grandsons. Both are fine Christian young men who love The Lord and our prayer is that they, along with other Christian young people, will follow the path that God has planned for them. The Bible says, Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in The Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and he shall direct thy paths.
