Instead of giving gifts at the office or any other traditional gift giving group take up a collection and give it to a needy family.
2 Corinthians 9:7
Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity:for God loveth a cheerful giver.

God Loves a Cheerful Giver
December 13, 2013Have fellowship
December 12, 2013It is not how much a gift costs that is important, the most wonderful gift is getting together with loved ones and friends and enjoying the fellowship.
1 John 1:7
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
A great gift
December 10, 2013Next to The Lord Jesus, the greatest gift we have is a home filled with people we love.
Countdown to Christmas
December 5, 2013We will try to put a tip for you everyday from now until Christmas Day to make your season a little more joyful.
Wish everyone you meet Merry Christmas and smile. As Christians we should be the most joyful of anyone as we know the true meaning of Christmas.
Have a Blessed Thanksgiving
November 27, 2013SOS wishes all our family, fellow laborers in The Lord, friends and everyone who follows us on our blog a very Blessed Thanksgiving. May we all take time today to Praise The Lord for all our blessings.
Psalms 26:7
That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving,
and tell of all thy wondrous works.
Thanks. Giving.
November 23, 2013With all the hustle and bustle of the Holiday season there is a very important Holiday that gets shoved in the background. Christmas decorations go up the day after Halloween and everything focuses on Christmas (not the true meaning but the materialism).
The true American Holiday, Thanksgiving is all but forgotten, unless of course it is for the feasting on turkey and the trimmings.
Thanksgiving. Thanks. Giving. It is a day when the focus should be on giving God the thanks for the bountiful blessings He has given to us.
Let us take time this coming week to thank The Lord for all His blessings.
A Living Scrifice
November 8, 2013There is an old saying, “Many hands make light work.” Yesterday, 19 ladies came to help with SOS projects. These ladies are mostly senior citizens. The oldest just turned 94 years old. God wants to use us for His glory and we never get to old to serve The Lord.
In contrast, a young girl, 15 years old, has become a wonderful worker for SOS. She helps in the office, goes to events to win souls, and on Sunday night will help train a group of other teens, so they can also be used of The Lord to bring others to Christ.
God loves people of all ages who have presented their bodies a living sacrifice for His glory.
Romans 12:1
Phone Call
October 29, 2013Yesterday a phone call to the SOS office that was a great blessing. One of the mothers of a student that attends Faith Christian School in New Jersey was so excited. Her daughter had been in the chapel service on Friday and heard about the way to witness using “I Have Two Birthdays”. This is a new way that SOS uses to tell people of the second birth.
This Mother said that her daughter, age 9, was telling her friends how to be saved. Both mother and daughter wanted SOS to know that their lives had been changed through the ministry.
Thank you for your prayers
October 26, 2013Thanks to you who are praying for events this weekend. Several were saved at Harvest Hayride in New Jersey last night. Also, Tom and Carolyn Curtis spoke in chapel yesterday morning and 7 children asked Jesus to come into their hearts so they could have 2 birthdays. (The fist birth is physical, the second spiritual)
Delight in The Lord
October 23, 2013Psalms 37:4
Delight thyself also in the Lord;
and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
One of the dictionary definitions of delight is “something that gives great pleasure”.
The Lord wants us to have great pleasure in Him.
Joy is another definition. Even in times of stress or the pressures of this life we can have the joy of The Lord in our heart. What a blessing! Today just meditate on this verse and think of all The Lord, Jesus has done for you.
